DEIS II
Defense Enterprise Integration Services II (DEIS II)
Defense Enterprise Integration Services II (DEIS II), a five-year $3
billion follow-on to the original DEIS program, dramatically increases the
range of information technology and engineering services and products
available to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. The
program provides a wide range of services in support of the government's
migration to a global integrated and interoperable Defense Information
Infrastructure, National Information Infrastructure, and Government
Information Infrastructure.
Deputy assistant secretary of Defense Anthony Valletta described the
contract as having "better prices, better quality and better services than
any comparable federal contract," according to Government Computer News.
The integration services offered by CSC include functional requirements
definition, identification and validation, and migration system selection.
CSC's information systems life cycle services range from baselining to
benchmarking and business process re-engineering. In addition, CSC offers
program prototyping, development, deployment, operations and maintenance for
standard, common and migration systems.

If your agency is eligible to use the contract, you may order services
through the following process:
Step 1: Call CSC
CSC is extremely experienced in the processing of indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) task orders. We will work closely with
you to prepare the statement of work and other required paperwork in the
proper formats. Close cooperation early in the process will save you time
and money in obtaining the services you need.
Step 2: Submit Your Statement of Work
Submit the statement of work to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/D7/Defense
Information Systems Management Office (DISMO) where it will be evaluated by
the Integration Manager. After the statement of work is finalized, the final
fair-opportunity determination will be made for tasks that are to be
competed. DISMO will send the approved SOW to you so that you may select a
contractor. The estimated time for this step is three calendar days.
Step 3: Send the Statement of Work to the Recommended Contractors
Send the final statement of work to the recommended contractors, who will
prepare a response in the form of white papers or oral presentations.
Evaluate the responses from the contractors and conduct a "best value"
analysis based on the established criteria, then select a contractor. The
estimated time for this step is three to 10 days.
Step 4: Getting the Job Started
When you select the CSC team for the contract, we will submit a proposal to
DISMO for review and approval. DISMO then signs a contract with CSC.
CSC's team can begin providing the services within 30 days after you
submitted the original statement of work to DISMO.
