How does the
Internet option work?
The Internet option can be accessed in either of two ways:
- Register on our Web site, log in, and click on a Java applet to display the real-time data.
- Telnet into the system to display the real-time data.
There is no "history capability" from this Web site. You will get a stream of weather data for as long as you are logged on to your system. A computer will be needed in order to capture the weather products.
If I want to receive data on my PC, what is the recommended configuration for my PC?
- Pentium PC (The more MHz the better)
- 15" or greater monitor
- 64 to 128 megabytes of RAM
- 10 gig hard drive or better
- Windows NT or Windows 98
- Modem or Ethernet card
If I purchase a Calypso system
can I get the Internet as a back up for free?
Yes, this is true for both C-Band and Ku-Band options.
How is the Internet data
received (FTP etc.)?
You can either Telnet in to
our site or connect via a TCP connection.
