Records Management System

Municipalities today must make efficient use of their assets. The CSC Records Management System organizes information, personnel, and equipment to help them use each asset to its fullest.

Records Management System imageHere are some of the ways CSC's system helps public safety experts manage information:

  • Store and cross-reference field notes, witness and subject statements, and lists of stolen property;
  • Retrieve on-line "mug shots," arrest and booking files, and detailed criminal histories
  • Store ownership and service records of impounded and other vehicles
  • Compare the modus operandi (MO) of offenses with known offenders' patterns
  • Log officer activities

The Records Management System connects to IPSS computer-aided dispatch. Dispatch calls become records data, so that call entries become database entries. The Graphical Information System (GIS) collects emergency call statistics from public safety answering points (PSAP) and displays them for a single PSAP or for PSAPs in multiple jurisdictions. CSC's system is now operating successfully at more than 100 locations.
