Requirements Analysis and System Design
The first stage of developing an office automation
solution consists of a
requirements analysis. We study your key
business processes to understand how they work, then
design a solution that best suits your needs.
Detailed Design and Testing
CSC is not committed to particular
manufacturers, but selects the best commercial
off-the-shelf applications and hardware for your
needs. We build a prototype of the system we
propose, and evaluate it in our labs to make sure it
works the way you want it to. Only then do we build
and test the system itself.
Deployment
Once we have thoroughly tested your system, we
install the system at our warehouse where we test it
again. This "hot-staging" step allows us to make
sure that it will work right when we move it to your
office, and that we will disrupt your operations for
the shortest time possible. When we have installed
it in your office, we test the system again and
train the system's users and administrators so that
your organization will be up and running right away.
CSC's Office Automation Secure Information
System (OASIS) provides secure networks and
extensive office automation to the Office of the
Secretary of Defense (OSD). The integrated system
consists of high-performance PCs linked together by
state-of-the-art network devices. We also have
integrated commercial off-the-shelf office
automation software that meets the OSD's full range
of needs, from basic word processing to
sophisticated technical development environments.
CSC also ensures the highest level of
data security for OASIS by using both Tempest
and other configurations, disk encryption and
end-to-end encryption on the network. CSC
has installed more than 100 of these networks, each
linking up to 500 workstations.
CSC has delivered several networked
office automation systems to other U.S. government
agencies, as well. Our customers include the
Joint Chiefs of Staff and the
Department of Justice. |
